The Republic of Ireland Regions Cup Team have Qualified for the Regions Cup Finals next June as they beat Macedonia by two goals to nil today.
A goal in both halves was enough for the Irish as young UCC midfielder Shane Daly-Butz opened the scoring with a fantastic free kick on the 19th minute leaving Redjepi with no chance in the Macedonian goal.
The game would be a tight affair for the rest of the half but Ireland did manage to knock on the door through David Hoban and Jimmy Carr but to no avail.
Ireland started the second half in great nick and their pressure paid off as after some intricate play Westports Hoban slid the ball past the young Macedonian keeper to double his sides lead.
Ireland were dealt a blow on the 76th minute when hero against Italy Eoin Hayes was sent off, the Newmarket Celtic man was given his marching orders by referee Aleksei Nikolaev for a second bookable offence.
