NT&DL Review:



Nenagh Celtic made it to the Munster Champions Trophy Semi Final after a hard fought 2-1 win over Doolans Cow of the Cork Business & Shipping League. Goals from Mark Walsh and Danny Ryan were enough on the day.

Thurles Town scraped through to the third round of the FAI Junior Cup after a penalty shootout victory over TSDL side Wilderness Rovers. Eoghan Vaughan and a Barry Ryan penalty helped them through to penalties where Town went on to win 3-1.


Both BT Harps and Cloughjordan Shared a 6 goal thriller in Priory Place . Goals from Kevin Quinlan, Skip Cleary and Paul Lake were cancelled out by Eoin Dorney and two cracking free kicks from Tommy Brophy for Harps.

Roscrea Town moved to the summit as the beat a lacklustre Borrisokane. The away side raced to a 5 goal lead in the first half thanks to Brian Franks, John Pio Fitzpatrick, Rody Ryan and a brace from Shane Moloney before Keith Kelly got one back for the hosts. Moloney grabbed his hattrick on the second half and Fitzpatrick got his second to finish the rout.


In the Division 1 Borroway and Holycross faced off in a fierce derby game and they shared the spoils in an 8 goal thriller. Benny Connolly grabbed a hattrick for the hosts along with a Gary Dunne goal while Jojo O’Meara (2), Calum O’Connor and John Butler made sure Holycross were not going home empty handed.


Moneygall grabbed a very important point against a Nenagh Celtic side that have huge title aspirations. Michael Parlon scored for Moneygall while a Danny White penalty saved the day for Celtic.


Arra Rovers got their first win of the season against fellow relegation rivals Ardcroney Fc. John Sheedy, James Ryan, Chris O’Riordan, Dermot O’Halloran and Sean Nightingale scored for the hosts while Jamie Heffernan scored the consolation for the away side.


Portumna Town‘s title hopes took a huge boost as a Ryan Hanrahan hattrick proved to be enough to see off previously unbeaten Rearcross in this top of the table clash. 3-1 to Portumna.

Clodiagh Rangers grabbed a hard fought point against Roscrea as goals from Paul Ryan and John Casey kept their promotion hopes alive while a Joe Callaghan brace continues his great run of form as one ot the leagues top strikers.


In Division two Rearcross B‘s winless streak continued as Luke Morkin  (2) and Andrew Brennan scored for Cloughjordan B in a comfortable 3-0 scoreline.

Gurtagarry continued their unbeaten start in a 6-0 win against Ballywilliam. Paul Ryan (2), Josh McCarthy (2), Ronan Kinane and Steven Cummins were on target for the champions elect.


Ballymackey B’s title hopes were dealt a major blow as they lost out to a Chud Fennell goal against title rivals BT Harps B.


Borrisokane B provided the shock of the day as they got their first win of the season against Templetuohy Fc. Goals from Darren Carroll and Kevin Crowe were enough to see off Templetuohy despite an Oisín Jordan consolation goal.
