NT&DL Preview: July 31st….

John Delaney Cup:

Clonmel Celtic Vs BT Harps
BT Harps make the tough trip to Clonmel this Sunday in what will be a tough day for the Templemore side. Celtic finished a strong second in the TSDL last season and should be too strong for the NT&DL side.

Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Clonmel Celtic

Borrisokane Fc Vs St Michael’s
TSDL Premier Division  Champions St Michael’s travel to NT&DL Division 1 Champions Borrisokane this Sunday in what should be a one sided affair. Michaels will indeed be too strong here but this is a great chance for Borrisokane as they host one of the countries top teams.

Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: St Michael’s

Clonmel Town Vs Nenagh Celtic
NT&DL Premier Division Champions travel to Clonmel and will look to continue their good start to the season. Town finished third last season in the TSDL, a long way behind Michaels and this will give Celtic a lot of hope going into the game.

Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Nenagh Celtic

Thurles Town Vs Peake Villa
Perhaps the biggest game of the Quarter Finals is the Thurles derby between Thurles Town and Peake Villa. Both sides look to play attacking football and goals are assured here. It’s should be a close game and at full strength Thurles might just have enough.

Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Thurles Town

NT&DL Premier Division:

Lough Derg FC Vs Roscrea Town
Lough Derg will look to kick-start their season here after a disastrous start that very well may see the home side deducted three points pending an appeal. Seamus Monaghan has been in form for the Blues. Roscrea finally got a win last weekend and will look to push forward again here. With three new signings Roscrea should gain in strength. Shane Moloney and John Pio Fitzpatrick have been on the score sheet of late.

Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Roscrea Town

Ballymackey Fc Vs Cloughjordan Fc
Cloughjordan travel to Balinree with him hopes of continuing their great start to the season. Ballymackey’s big loss in Roscrea last week will still be on their minds and will look to gain valuable points here. Players to watch on the day will be Jason Ryan and Dean O’Meara for Clough whereas Denis Haverty will be a constant threat for the home side.

Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Cloughjordan Fc

Division 1:

Arra Rovers Vs Holycross Fc
Holycross’ push for an immediate return to the Premier Division all hinges on games like this. The Glenbane side should be too strong for Arra here but they will have to watch out for a strong attacking lineup that managed to score four goals last weekend.

Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Holycross Fc

Clodiagh Rangers Vs Portumna Fc
Clodiagh will look to bounce back after last weekends loss to promotion rivals Holycross with a win here. Portumna started their campaign with a good win in Roscrea and they’ll hope to keep the momentum going here. Ailbe O’Donoghue and Paul Ryan have been instrumental for Clodiagh but Portumna have David Fogarty on hand to get the goals.

Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Clodiagh Rangers

Rearcross FC Vs Roscrea Town B
Rearcross get their League campaign underway against a tricky Roscrea side. The home side are a bit unknown at the minute but as always they will prove tough to beat this early in the season. Roscrea will look to build on their first league win last week and have Joe Callaghan on form in front of goal.

Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Draw

Borroway Rovers Vs Moneygall Fc
Rovers have galloped out of the traps this season and should be looking at three more points here. Moneygall had high aspirations at the start of the season and will need a win here to keep up with the leaders even at this early stage. Pa Lawler and Keith Moore will be a danger as always for Rovers and Moneygall will look to Gearoid Larkin to try get the goals.

Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Borroway Rovers

Division 2:

Lough Derg B Vs Rearcross FC B
The home side will be favourites here although they failed to field a team last weekend. With both sides on zero points this far (Lough Derg deducted 3 points pending an appeal) a win for either side is a must here.

Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Lough Derg FC

Cloughjordan Fc B Vs Gurtagarry Fc
A tough game in store for the home side as they entertain the goal machine that is Gurtagarry Fc. The away side have scored 12 goals in 2 games and will look to add to that tally here. Clough have won their only league game so far and will not roll over easily.

Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Gurtagarry Fc

Ballywilliam Utd Vs Ballymackey Fc B
A tight game on offer here as both sides look to keep in the top half of the table.  Their should be little between these two teams.

Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Draw

Borrisokane Fc B Vs BT Harps B
Bottom of the table Borrisokane have had a start to forget this season and will find it difficult to get anything here. With no goals scored and 10 conceded in two games it’s hard to look past an away win here. Shane Fogarty and Chud Fennell will be a constant threat throughout.

Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: BT Harps

Clodiagh Rangers B Vs Templetuohy Fc
Clodiagh, given three points last week makes this a very unknown fixture. Both sides will look for a win here and the Drombane side might just have too much on offer here.

Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Clodiagh Rangers
