Premier Division
Thurles Town Vs BT Harps
League leaders BT Harps travel to champions elect Thurles Town on Sunday know nothing but a win will do the Templemore side in their quest for league glory. Harps have lost only one of their ten league games whilst Town have kept their 100% record since the start of the season. Town continue to look for Barry Ryan for inspiration up top and his goals have certainly helped his side scoring 25 in all competitions and is not joint top scorer in the division with 11 goals. Harps Johnny Coleman and Tommy Brophy both have 6 league goals this far but it’s been Sean P Guerins who has stood out for them this season. The sides did meet earlier in the season with Thurles coming out 5-0 winners in the shield.
Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Thurles Town
Division 1:
Rearcross FC Vs Borroway Rovers
Borroway’s slim title hopes are on the line here as they are Rearcross side that have been impressive at times this term. Rovers won the reverse fixture 4-0 back in October but this will be by no means a gimme. Mikey O’Gorman has been in terrific form this season scoring 14 league goals while their has been no shortage of goals in Borroway with Benny Connolly, Keith Moore and Gary Dunne amassing 28 league goals between them so far.
Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Borroway Rovers
Ardcroney Fc Vs Holycross Fc
Holycross’ efforts for a swift return to Premier Division football hinge on games like this as they face an Ardcroney side that will most likely be playing bottom tier football next season. Ardcroney have had Jamie Heffernan in great form all season scoring 13 league goals but Holycross have been buoyed by the return to form of Jojo O’Meara who on his day can win any game at this level.
Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Holycross Fc
Division 2:
Borrisokane Fc B Vs Clodiagh Rangers Fc B
With little you play for here both sides will look for a sense of pride ahead of their Cup games in the coming weeks. Kevin Crowe has top scored for Borrisokane this season while Paul Hanley has found a bit of form at the right time for Rangers.
Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Draw
Tipperary Cup 1st Round:
Templetuohy Fc Vs Cloughjordan Fc B
This interesting tie sees two teams with very little between them face off as they look to gather a run in the leagues biggest Cup competition. Both sides have scored 70 goals between them this season but have conceded 66 in the same time so goals look a certainty here. Oisin Jordan has been brilliant so far scoring 21 goals in the process while Andrew Brennan is a constant threat for Cloughjordan.
Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Templetuohy Fc
Tipperary Cup 2nd Round:
Roscrea Town B Vs Ballymackey Fc A
Roscrea B host Ballymackey A in this interesting tie. Both sides have had league campaigns to forget but Roscrea on their day have been impressive. Ballymackey didn’t manage a win in their campaign but might very well be rejuvenated after the Christmas period. A tight game on offer here but Ballymackey did manage a draw in Villa Park earlier this season against Roscrea A. Joe Callaghan will look to add to his 24 goals so far this season while Timmy Fleming will most likely play here despite being a regular for the Ballymackey B side.
Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Ballymackey Fc A
Roscrea Town A Vs Portumna Town
Roscrea should manage a win here against potential Division 1 champions Portumna. Portumna have enjoyed their nest season to date in the NT&DL and will hope to continue that and pull off a shock or two on their way. Town though have only Cup football to play for following some poor league form and know it’s games like this that can turn a season around. John Pio Fitzpatrick has top scored for Roscrea with 8 goals while Sean O’Meara is still Portumna’s top marksman despite a long injury layoff.
Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Roscrea Town A
Nenagh Celtic Vs Moneygall Fc
In what should be a routine fixture for Nenagh they will not take this Moneygall side lightly. Nenagh have been far from their best this season and although they won’t give up on the title they will know this Cup is a more realistic chance of silverware this season. Mark Walsh has again been in fine form for Celtic while Gearóid Larkin is the man to watch for Moneygall.
Stoppagetime.ie Prediction; Nenagh Celtic
Borrisokane Fc Vs Clodiagh Rangers
In another Premier Division Vs Division 1 clash this promises to be a very close game. Borrisokane have proven to be sticky opposition for everyone they’ve played this term and Shane Stapleton’s goals have been very important throughout. Clodiagh have looked to Ailbe O’Donoghue for goals as they will miss out on promotion themselves this season.
Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Borrisokane Fc A
Nora Kennedy Cup 2nd Round:
Gurtagarry Fc Vs Rearcross FC B
In what will most likely be one way traffic Division 2 champions Gurtagarry host bottom of the table Rearcross. While Gurta made it to the title finishing unbeaten while Rearcross havnt managed a win yet this season. Paul Ryan has been in prolific form this season scoring 31 goals and he will look to add to that in the final few games.
Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Gurtagarry Fc
Ballywilliam Utd Vs Ballymackey Fc B
Another interesting game as Ballymackey will be favourites to beat a well capable Ballywilliam side. Timmy Fleming has been in top form again this campaign while Ballywilliam will look to end their season on a high in this Cup looking to Davie Corrigan for guidance.
Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Ballymackey Fc B
