Harps’ Stalwart Hangs Up Boots

Popular BT Harps player Sean McCormack has announce his retirement from football. McCormack a twelve year veteran for the Templemore side, decided to hang up his boots for medical reasons after last weekends loss to Nenagh Celtic.

McCormack was no stranger to silverware in his time at the club having won Two Tipperary Cups, Two Ricky Fogarty Cups and Two Premier Division Shields in his time at the club.

Current Harps Manager Stephen Owens spoke to Stoppagetime.ie earlier and said the cntre half would be a huf=ge loss to his squad ” It was a pleasure to manage such a natural centre half, hugely intelligent and magnificent in the air, someone who could be relied upon week in week out, a top junior football player” said Owens.

Owens has also stated that McCormack will now be part of the management team for the season ahead.
