7th Heaven For Villa As They Stay On Top

Premier Division

Killavilla Utd 7-1 Borroway Rovers

Killavilla Utd bounced back from last weekend’s loss to BT Harps in style as they put seven goals past Paul Gould’s Borroway Rovers.

Villa started the game off at a rapid pace and it was all but over five minutes in as Rory Murphy bagged an incredible hattrick, the second of which was a remarkable curling effort to the far corner after an inch perfect pass from the returning Brian Franks.

Rovers to their credit kept fight and if not for Gordon Carey between the sticks it might have been even worse as he made four fantastic saves in the first fifteen minutes. They gave themselves a lifeline five minutes from half time as Anto Walker was on hand to tap the ball into an empty net.

Villa started the second half as they started the first and two fine strikes from Brian Moloney were followed up by another from his namesake Shane to put them five goals to the good on the hour mark. Denis Moloney rounded off the scoring twenty minutes from time as he converted a penalty after Brian Moloney was felled in the area.
