Shannon Olympic B got off to a winning start in the Third Division with victory over Bunratty Cratloe in wet conditions at Olympic Park on Sunday. Shannon Olympic opened the scoring after 20 minutes when a good delivery by Ian Hogan found Adam Harrington who headed Olympic in front. Bunratty Cratloe almost equalised from the kick off but Gary McGettrick denied them with a good save. Olympic made it 2-0 with some good build up play between Terry O’Donnell and Karl Scott found Harrington who made no mistake for his second goal of the game. The second half commenced and Bunratty Cratloe found themselves unlucky not to be on the score sheet when after they put on the pressure they were denied by Ian Hogan who made a goal line clearance. Olympic made it 3-0 when Paddy Twomey finished well. Dylan Kerr and Darragh Danagher added further goals to leave it 5-0 to the Shannon side at full time.
