Sources have this morning confirmed that the Referees Association in South Tipperary will not officiate any Tipperary Schoolboys/Girls Southern & District League this weekend.
Bansha Celtic Schoolboys were the first to break the news and League Secretary Darren Ward Emailed the following to the clubs.
It is believed that a team from the league refused to play a game when a certain referee turned up to the game and this has since led to this strike. It is unclear when it will end but numerous clubs are in the cup final stage of their season and they will be looking for the situation to be resolved asap.
The League are to meet on Monday evening to see if there can be a resolution found and all games are off until then at least.
