Munster Junior Joy For Pike As Janesboro Pay The Penalty

Munster Junior Cup Final

Pike Rovers 1-1 Janesboro (aet)

Pike Rovers win 5-4 on pens

Pike Rovers put last weekends FAI Junior Cup heartbreak behind them tonight as they captured the Munster Junior Cup after a dramatic penalty shootout win against fellow Limerick District League Premier Division side Janesboreo.

Janesboro took an early lead as a Shane Clarke header was caught by Gary Neville but the linesman adjudged the keeper to have crossed the ine with the ball.

Pike would not give up however and found themselves on level terms, like last weekend, thanks to an absolute screamer by Stephen McGann.

The game wentthe whole way to penalties and Rovers came out on top of a 5-4 scoreline.
