Saints Set Up Munster Final Show Down With Pike

TSDL Premier Division outfit St Micheal’s have set up a pulsating Munster Junior Cup Final against Limerick District League side Pike Rovers after a 4-2 win over Broadford Utd on Saturday evening.

Saints were left in shock after only three minutes when they found themselves a goal behind thanks to Joel McAuliffe and it stayed that way until just after the half hour mark when Pat Quinn was on hand to equalize witha fantasticheader. This seemed to give Saints the lift then needed and they went into half time a goal to the good thanks to a David Slattery header two minutes before half time.

Slattery started the second half as he finished the first when he was again on hand to beat the United keeper three minutes into the second half and in the process double his sides lead. It would be anything but plain sailing fir Saints afterthis has United pegged one back through Killian Lynch with twenty minutes remaining. Saints Killed the game off in injury time when Jimmy Carr picked up a Paddy Fitzgerald cross and finished well.

A huge win fir the TSDL side as they bid for their 9th Munster Titlein their history.
