Saints Bag League Title After Derby Win

St Micheals were tonight crowned TSDL Premier Division Champions after a 7-2 victory over cross town rivals Tipperary Town.

Saints found themselves a goal down fifteen minutes in when player/manager James “Chalkie” Walsh turned the ball into his own net. they would not be behind for long however as Shane Leahy equalised soon after before Olly O’Driscoll put the champions elect in front.

Darren Stokes threatened to spoil the party as he found the net to make it two all but three goals from the in form Colin Bargary and further goals from Johnathan Kennedy and Joey Mulcahy was enough to see the title stay in Cooke Park for another year.
