Preview: Peake Villa Fc Vs Cherry Orchard

Tipperary Southern & District League Premier Division side Peake Villa Fc host Leinster Senior League Major Saturday outfit Cherry Orchard in the FAI Junior Cup 6th this Sunday coming in what is one of the biggest games in recent years at the club.
Villa are the second Thurles side in the last 32, something of which has never happened in the towns history. Villa have been in a rich vein of form this season sitting third in the TSDL Premier Division having won six of their opening ten games. They’ve had Pippy Carroll and Matthew McKevitt in clinical form since the start of the season and will look to continue that this weekend as they look to take advantage of the home draw. Keeper Stephen Ryan has been in inspired for throughout the season and will need to be on top of his game if James O’Sullivan’s side are to advance here. Stoppagetime.ie has earmarked Maris Baltins as one of the clubs top players, the youngster has impressed the three time we have seen him and he will most certainly be a handful for the Dubliners.
Cherry Orchard have had an indifferent season so far and sit in 7th in the league winning 5 and losing 4 of their opening 9 games. They look very susceptible at the back conceding on average two goals per game this season although they do average over two goals per game also.
This should be a game that Villa should be confident about and Paddy Powers odds reflect that with Villa put in at favourites at 1/2 and their opponents are 3/1.
Stoppagetime.ie feel that this could be a wide open game with plenty of goals and Villas chances hinge on the maturity of what is a young side, a maturity that the certainly have had in the games we have seen. We will go for a 3-1 home win for Villa as they look to make the last 16 of this prestigious competition.
