Boca Takes Cashel Hotseat

Cashel Town Fc Have appointed the controversial Brian “Boca” Glasheen as manager for the 2018/2019 season.

Glasheen hit the headlines last year as he was removed from his position at Tipperary Town Fc, a club that he guided to the TSDL Top Flight a season earlier.

The Tipp Town native then made a move to Thurles Town as Noel Byrne’s assistant and helped the club to a second Premier League and Shield double, ending their league campaign unbeaten in the process.

The creator of “Boca’s Kitchen” met with the Cashel Town board twice recently and they got their man today with Karl Stroms and PJ Flanagan making up the three man team.

Boca told Stoppagetime.ie earlier that it was the perfect job for him and he was confident of bringing success to the club, having turned down four other clubs recently.

One will wonder what’s next for Thurles Town with rumours rife that Noel Byrne has stepped down from his position at the club also.

Stoppagetime.ie would like to wish Brian and Cashel Town the very best for the season ahead as they look to make a swift return to the Division 1.
