John Delaney Triumph For Saints

St Micheals grabbed a well deserved pre-season trophy after beating Peake Villa by three goals to nil in the John Delaney Cup Final.

Saints raced to a two goal first half lead thanks to goals from Oliver O’Driscoll and Alan O’Dwyer. Villa had a chance to get back into the game on the stroke of half-time from the spot but Pippy Carroll seen his penalty saved by Adrian Walshe.

Saints killed the game off in the second half thanks to a Paddy Fitz header and this made sure that they would grab the first piece of silverware on offer this season.
