Villa Pay The Penalty As Holycross Reach Tipp Cup Final

Tipperary Cup Semi Final

Holycross Fc 1-1 Killavilla Utd (aet)

(Holycross Fc Win 4-3 on pens)

Holycross Fc sprung quite the shock earlier today as they reached the final of the Tipperary Cup after a penalty 4-3 shoot-out victory against a much fancied Killavilla Utd.

Villa looked on course to reach the final after talisman Brian Moloney put them ahead mid-way through the first half, but the hosts failed to read the script and James King equalised before the break.

This was the way it would stay, and the sides could only be separated by the dreaded penalty shoot-out in which Holycross keeper Robert Quinlan starred in.

Holycross now await the winners of Thurles Town & Nenagh Celtic in the final which will be fixed for some time in May.
