NT&DL Premier Division
Ballymackey Fc Vs Thurles Town
Thurles travel to Balinree to continue their bit for Premier Division glory and face a Ballymackey side that will play Division 1 football next season. The home side have struggled all season and this should be a formality for Noel Byrnes side. Barry Ryan continues his hot streak having now notched up 22 goals this season so far, a match where he will be expected to add to that.
Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Thurles Town
BT Harps Vs Cloughjordan Fc
Second plays third here as Cloughjordan play their penultimate game of their League campaign against the often impressive BT Harps. Harps know that a win is a must here if they are to have any chance of capturing the title and they will go top if they manage to win here. Tommy Brophy, Sean P Guerins and Johnny Coleman will be Harps main threat while Dean O’Meara and Paul Lake have been a menace to every back line this season.
Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: BT Harps
NT&DL Tipperary Cup 1st Round:
The leagues main cup competition kicks off this weekend as clubs from all divisions battle it out for the prize.
Borrisokane Fc B Vs Rearcross FC B
This game is an interesting affair as both lie in the bottom three of the division two table. Borrisokane will expect to win as Rearcross have yet to manage a win this season but this is Cup football after all so anything could happen. Darren Carroll will be a threat for Borrisokane whilst Pj McLoughlin will look to add to his tally for Rearcross.
Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Borrisokane Fc B
Ballywilliam Utd Vs Holycross Fc
Division two play Division one here and Holycross will start as firm favourites. Jojo O’Meara has returned to top form for the Glenbane side aswell as Calum O’Connor and Declan O’Donoghue might be the one to watch for Ballywilliam as they look to take a huge scalp here.
Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Holycross Fc
Ardcroney Fc Vs Portumna Town
Both these sides have had differing seasons and Portumna are on the cusp of promotion to the Premier Division for the first time in their history. Ardcroney however are battling relegation from day one but have in the past put together some top Cup runs at the end of the season and with Jamie Heffernan at their disposal anything is possible. Town have goals in every position in David Fogarty, Rory Finnegan, Ronan O’Meara, Garry Curran and Ciaran Haugh but if they can get talisman Sean O’Meara back from injury they could prove very hard to beat in this competition.
Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Portumna Town
Gurtagarry Fc Vs Clodiagh Rangers Fc
This probably the tie of the round as newly crowned Division two champions Gurtagarry get a taste of what lies ahead for them next season in the form of Clodiagh Rangers. Clodiagh stopped their recent dip in form last time out but will have to be in top form to beat this Gurta side. Paul Ryan is on 31 goals for the season and will hope to continue that form here whilst Ailbe O’Donoghue and their very own Paul Ryan will be the biggest dangers for Rangers. A possible giant killing on the cards.
Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Gurtagarry Fc
Borroway Rovers Vs Rearcross FC A
Promotion chasing Borroway host Rearcross in this interesting all 1st Division Cup tie. Rearcross have been very impressive I’m at times this season and With much thanks to the goalscoring exploits of Mikey O’Gorman. Borroway though will look to Bruce back from their first league loss of the season last time out and pursue a cup run that they are more than capable of. They will look to Benny Connolly, Keith Moore and Gary Dunne for their goals as they look to make round 2.
Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Borroway Rovers
Moneygall Fc Vs Nenagh Celtic B
Celtics season has seemed to have derailed in recent weeks as they are well and truly out of the promotion race. They face a Moneygall side that have struggled throughout but have managed important wins at important times this season. Gearóid Larkin will be their main threat while Danny White and Alan Kelly are in form for Celtic.
Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Nenagh Celtic B
BT Harps B Vs Roscrea Town B
Division two play Division one again here and this should he a game where goals should be in abundance. Darren Russell has been in great nick for Harps while Joe Callaghan has been unstoppable for Roscrea this season.
Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Roscrea Town B
Clodiagh Rangers Fc B Vs Arra Rovers
With one win apiece in their 29 league games between them this season this is a match that but will want to win, if alone for pride. Arra should prevail here but they will play against Clodiagh next season as they have been relegated from division one.
Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Arra Rovers
