NT&DL Premier League Preview

2016-10-18-12-01-05-1

Munster Junior Cup

Cloughjordan Fc Vs Thurles Town
This is an interesting affair as they have only crossed paths once this season and Town won by three goals to nil with Liam Hickey bagging a tremendous double on the day. Town are unbeaten in NT&DL competition this season and this is largely due to the goals from Barry Ryan. Ryan has netted 15 times this season as he looks to end the season on top of the charts. Clough thought have home advantage here and have Paul Lake (if available) on 24 goals this season and Dean O’Meara on 11, a strike force that has beaten nearly all of the defences they have come up against all season. A close game on the cards here as both sides look to continue on their journey for Munster success.

Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Thurles Town

NT&DL Premier Division

Ballymackey Fc Vs Roscrea Town
Roscrea will look to put their poor form behind them as they face a Ballymackey side that is rooted to the foot of the table and are looking like certainties for the drop mid way through the season. Town won the reverse fixture 5-1 and will be hopeful for more of the same here. Shane Moloney and John Pio Fitzpatrick have seven goals apiece but it’s at the back that Town have been struggling with recently. Ballymackey have struggled in all departments this far and will hope to somehow managed their first league win of the season here.

Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Roscrea Town

Nenagh Celtic Vs BT Harps
First versus second here as both sides look to keep the pressure on at the top. Neither can afford to drop anymore points here as Thurles Town are creeping up behind them with a 100% record. With one win apiece in their two meetings so far this can be very hard to call especially with Harps winning in Roscrea last time out. Celtic have been suffering immensely in front of goal and it has cost them in every Cup competition they’ve played in so far, most recently their two one loss to Abbeyfeale last Sunday. On their day though Jimmy Hynes and Mark Walsh can score against anyone aswell as the in form Jamie Kelly and Sean Healy. Harps have Sean P Guerins in tremendous form in the heart of midfield and with Chris Eid along side him it can be a devastating pairing. Kuba Beban has improved in every game we have seen him and with Tommy Brophy and Johnny Coleman up top goals are almost inevitable these days. A very close game to call but Celtics experience at the top might just be enough to send them through.

Stoppagetime.ie Prediction: Nenagh Celtic
